Are you completly satisfied about your last work?
yes, I am very pleased with the last Magnolia electric. co. record. I have learned that recording live with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago is a very good combination. There is a very noticeable feel and sound to all of the music we have done at that studio and with Steve. The new record was done the same way.
Wich are the most important ispiration for doing this new album?
I can't say one thing was more inspirational than another. I always write music and lyrics, and am constantly trying to learn about new things. I don't listen to many contemporary bands, but I do read as much as possible and I am always getting new ideas. It was important to try all of the new songs on the road before recording them, on the last Magnolia record we had not really played any of that material live before, so the new working method I would say was a bit of an inspiration.
Is There some others artists that you think important to reccomend us?
The Coke Dares, Trans Am, My Morning Jacket, The Impossible Shapes, Scout Niblett.
Are there some others projects for the your future?
There will be a brand new live record coming out in October. It will be a double l.p. The new studio record will come out early in 2005.
Is there something in your album that you don't like enough?
No, if we are not happy with part of the record we re-do it or we start over. I never put a song on a record that I am not happy with. Sometimes I am surprised with how much better the songs are once all of the musicians have a chance to add to them.
