Calamateur - Tiny Pushes Vol.2 (All the Wrong Buttons)
2005 Autoclave Records
a cura di: Franco Mannarini

Are you completly satisfied about your last work?
I wouldn't say completely satisfied but I'm very pleased with it. I certainly haven't tired of it as easily as I have of some of my previous releases!

Wich are the most important ispiration for doing this new album?
Well, the original idea was just to find some good, unusual samples and try to start new songs from scratch without taking too long over them. I tried to do as few takes as possible and wanted the songs to be (and sound) fresh and original. I'm not the best at improvising, but I think this was my closest attempt yet at doing that.

Is There some others artists that you think important to reccomend us?
Yes!! Iain Archer, Sparklehorse, The Out_Circuit, The Gena Rowlands Band, Oldsolar, Apologist, Steve Lawson, Poor Old Ben, Duke Special and Brahm.

Are there some others projects for the your future?
I've been working on an album with solo bassist Steve Lawson (www.steve-lawson.co.uk), who is an absolute genius. It's mostly me playing acoustic songs with Steve playing bass and ambience, although we have recorded some pretty strange stuff as well, which hopefully other people will like as much as we do! I'm also thinking about Tiny Pushes Vol.3 and how I want to go about that, and I'm also finishing off writing songs for what will hopefully be my 2nd 'proper' album.

Is there something in your album that you don't like enough?

There's the odd thing I think could sound better, but I'm pretty happy with the overall sound of the album. I'm not sure other people will get some of the weirder, electronic stuff but hey, it's free and no-one's going to feel like they wasted their money!
